The last two years have seen Blue Lab Beats emerge from the bedroom, and into the ears, minds and hearts of millions of music lovers with over 50 million streams, a GRAMMY for their production on Angelique Kidjo's 'Fired

Up' track from her ‘Mother Nature’ LP, a Jazz FM Innovation Award and now 2 MOBO nominations. brave james

Unafraid to be unique, Brave James blends dreamy alt-pop, maximalist electro production and multi-layered psychedelic vocal harmonies as they whip up a whirlwind of multi-generational influences into a sound that sits right at home in 2024. Those traits both flourish and prosper in their latest album ‘I BEGIN’. Born in Australia and now based in London, Brave James’ key music passions are for vocal harmonies and electronics, with The Beach Boys, Take 6, James Blake and Björk among their key influences. They’re the dominant forces in their sumptuous sound clash, which welds ambience, soul and originality into a distinct vision of what pop can be. Brave James merges genres which should be contradictory into a fluid, cohesive whole. Their lyrics hone in on emotional snapshots: moments of togetherness, life-changing chance meetings, memories which loom large and then disappear, the self-destructive repetition of circular thoughts, and post-relationship insularity.
