As The Halfway Kid, British-Sudanese singer and songwriter Saeed Gadir makes music for communing, and finds himself in the midst of a new folk tradition — one that he’s writing in real time.

He released his new album 'Myths In Modern Life' in October 2024 with a sold out show at Lafayette in London which was his 5th sold out London show in a row. He has also sold out shows in Brighton and Bristol.

He has garnered support from Jack Saunders, Alyx Holcombe and Sian Eleri at Radio 1, Steve Lamaqc at 6 Music and John Kennedy at Radio X.

After multiple viral videos with 2 million plus views his online growth has seen his numbers increase substantially in the last year with his social media following going from 3k to 80k and his Spotify followers increasing from 2k to 22k.

He was the first artist signed to the paradigm shifting FAN deal as featured in Musicweek.

In May, he headed off on his debut UK headline tour and will also be performing 4 shows at Glastonbury and supporting Joy Oladokun at her Somerset House show in July.
