Hyphen is a UK-born rap-punk powerhouse who fuses raw punk energy with razor-sharp rap and chant-heavy soundscapes. Born in Portsmouth in July 1993 to Indian parents, he initially pursued a degree in Philosophy and Economics before entering the world of finance. Initially using music as an escape tool for the harsh realities of working in corporate finance, Hyphen is now a respected member of the UK pubk scene.

Known for high-energy live performances often backed by a six-piece jazz band, he’s toured across the UK and Europe alongside acts like Bob Vylan, and performed at festivals such as 2000trees, Latitude, and Reading & Leeds.

In March 2025 he launched his first full UK headline tour—including shows in London, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Dublin, and beyond - and released a new single, This Might Be It, earning airplay on BBC Radio 1.
