rubberband girl
East London-based Rubberband Girl blends soulful troubadour elements of the 70s with lightweight modern textures from the 90s and 00s.
Written in an intimately small shed-studio in north London and recorded at RAK Studios with Mercury and Grammy winning producer Jonathan Quarmby, the music explores themes of nostalgia, relationships and post-modern life with tongue in cheek attitude over a genre-bending soundscape of synths and organic instruments.
They released their debut album "Profiterole Vision" in September 2024 which garnered editorial support from Spotify and Apple Music and praise from BBC Introducing, alexrainbirdMusic, Notion, Noctis,The Daily Star, Popjustice, Women In Pop & House of Solo to name a few.
Their debut headline show took place in April at SJQ in London and sold out.
