Red Tape, Vol. 2 is the 2nd instalment of Caitlyn Scarlett’s EP trilogy called The Red Tapes.
On this volume, Caitlyn sees herself working with a diverse and talented group of producers including Raf Riley, CallMeTheKidd, Fred Cox and Toby Scott. The singles from the EP have all gained a great deal of support across streaming, radio and online press, including Wonderland, Clash, The Line Of Best Fit and The 405 .
Her single, Ornaments, has been selected to be BBC Introducing's Track of the Week on Radio 1 from the 22d June. It will be played on Radio 1 every day of the week on shows including Clara Amfo, Matt Edmondson, Scott Mills and Greg James. BBC Introducing are great supporters of Caitlyn, playing all of her tracks to date and also picking her to perform on their stage at Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend in Swansea.
Caitlyn has around 8 million streams from her own releases on Spotify, landing NMF playlists in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Turkey, Portugal and Japan as well as many other official Spotify playlists. She has written and is featuring on Jack Wins track ‘Free Wheeling’, released on Axwell’s label Axtone, which currently sits on over 11 million streams after being added to such playlists as Mint, Fresh Electronic, NMF UK and NMF Cratediggers to name a few.
After signing a publishing deal with BMG in Summer 2017, she has been in high demand for her writing. Roc Nation personally requested her to join the Rihanna writing camp that took place in London last year. During the camp, she wrote with the likes of DJ Dahi (Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean), MelO x (Beyoncé) and Levi Lennox (M.I.A, Krept & Konan, Zayn Malik). She continues to be requested by some of the industries biggest producers and artists including Banx & Ranx, Mojam, MNEK, Ella Eyre, Ray Blk, CLiQ and Liv Dawson to name a few.
Caitlyn's most recent release, a duet called 4am with Atlantic-signed Dan Caplen, was added to 20 New Music Friday's across the world on Spotify. The track did 350k streams on Spotify alone in it's first week. It was also included in Best Of The Week on Apple, Brand New on Deezer and Brand New on Amazon as well as 3 new music playlists on YouTube Music.
